Blackfriars almshouses planning consent!
We were over the moon on Tuesday when Southwark Council Planning Committee voted unanimously in favour of Southwark Charities’ sustainable development of 62 almshouses for local elderly people facing hardship, supported by community uses and a 21-storey workspace building on Blackfriars Road. It was quite emotional hearing their comments:
