Breaking ground at Blackfriars almshouses
Last week we were honoured to attend the ground-breaking ceremony for Edward Edwards’ House, a 100% affordable almshouse development we gained planning consent for in 2021 on behalf of Southwark Charities.
Almshouses have been on this site since the 1700s, so we’re very proud to have played our part in continuing this tradition with an innovative and inclusive design providing 62 contemporary homes for older people facing hardship.
