Jack’s article for Paperspace magazine
Fathom’s Jack Parmar shared a personal response for Bath University’s Paperspace 21th issue, with a theme of #Spectres.
Jack linked his experiences of the Uttarayan festival – celebrating nature’s rejuvenation for Gujarat farmers – when the streets of Ahmedabad are temporarily transformed into a hive of activity for kite making, with his role in reimagining a series of heritage warehouses in Farringdon.
He shares how committing to creating adaptable cities and spaces and listening to the spirits of the past are key to ensuring narratives aren’t erased and buildings can have second, third and fourth lives.
Thank you Jesper, Antar and all the team behind Paperspace who create such an interesting dialogue to be part of.
