The King’s Cross Group commissioned Fathom to support the operations of King’s Cross Estates Services (KCES) – a 350-person team that manages and maintains the King’s Cross estate – by refining and improving their own facilities with a focus on wellbeing, comfort and efficiency.

Our goal was to ensure management and welfare provision is of a consistently high standard across the estate and establish a unified design approach.

Having meticulously assessed existing facilities, we have been able to rationalise provision and carve out additional spaces, improving access and decreasing the amount of travel time to amenities.

Our incremental upgrades increase the quality and quantity of showers and lockers, improve dining and rest areas, and introduce multifaith worship spaces. New furniture in a consistent colour and materials palette enhances environment and comfort.

The series of improvements across varying scales helps address the future needs of the King’s Cross Group’s management team as it moves towards a complete and occupied development.
