Congratulations to Oxford’s Jenner Institute
Congratulations to the Oxford-AstraZeneca team on the UK approval by the regulator of their Covid-19 vaccine for emergency use. This marks a tide change toward winning the battle against this sweeping disease, especially in low and middle income countries: AstraZeneca are committed to supplying the vaccine not-for-profit to these countries.
The news is especially sweet as the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine was developed in The Jenner Institute, in the Old Road Campus Research Building, a project Justin Nicholls led in 2006 whilst at Make, and Jonathan Mitchell was Project Architect. Fathom continues to work with The University of Oxford and other research clients in the OxCam Arc, developing innovative approaches for Europe’s largest biomedical research cluster – see projects.
