BEAM invited us to assess three Grade II listed Mayfair townhouses which had been combined to serve as commercial offices and not been renovated for over 20 years.

Our approach reinstates the historical integrity of the individual buildings at 42 Berkeley Square and 1 & 3 Hill Street, offering three distinct and complementary workspaces.

We have adopted a retrofit strategy which will revitalise the heritage assets and support their transition to a low-carbon future.

By meticulously assessing the cluster of buildings, we have been able to create opportunities for individual buildings including a new landscaped courtyard & orangery, increased workspace area on the lower ground floor, a contemporary mansard floor and a roof terrace.

Alongside a full refurbishment including restored heritage features, each building will benefit from new efficient MEP systems, outdoor amenity space and end of trip facilities.

Our interior design approach balances Mayfair grandeur with the townhouse scale, creating contemporary spaces to meet, connect and exchange ideas.
